Cravin' Fruit

I don’t usually make fruit-only juices as I prefer making juices with loads of vegetables and just a little bit of fruit for sweetness.

I try to keep my juices as low-calorie and low sugar as possible, however, that doesn’t mean that I don’t treat myself every once in a while. And I cannot think of a better sweet AND healthy treat, than a fruit juice like this one.

But don’t let the sweet taste deceive you – this juice recipe comes packed with nutrients. Yes, pineapples and pears taste heavenly together, but they also contain a lot of vitamin C, A, and K.

Pears have soluble fiber, and the bromelain enzyme in pineapples makes this drink a powerful and effective digestive aid.

See? You can still have a juice packed with nutrients, even if it is fruit-only juice.

Ingredients

Pineapple
3 slices

Pears
2 medium

Lemon
1 wedge

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Peel the pineapple.
  2. Wash the pears and lemon thoroughly under running water.
  3. Chop all ingredients into a size that best works for your juicer.
  4. Feed everything into your juicer, alternating between soft and hard ingredients.
  5. Drink and enjoy the benefits.

Notes:

For full benefits, consume immediately or as soon as possible, but within 24 hours.
Store in an airtight glass bottle or jar and refrigerate.
