When creating healthy juice recipes, I often add a little bit of spice to them. Spices bring lots of health benefits to the table, are excellent sources of antioxidants, and enhance the flavor of the juice.

My two favorite spices to add to juices are fresh ginger and turmeric. In this recipe, I am using turmeric. Some of the health benefits of turmeric are reducing inflammation in the body and improving arthritis symptoms. Turmeric helps lower LDL cholesterol and regulates blood pressure.

If you are not used to adding spices to your juices, I suggest making this juice recipe with just a small piece of turmeric. Once you get used to the taste, you can start adding more.

Ingredients

Beet
1 medium

Cucumber
1 medium

Carrots
7 medium

Apples
2 fruit

Turmeric
3 thumb-size piece

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Peel the beet.
  2. Wash all the other ingredients thoroughly under running water.
  3. Dispose of the core of the apple.
  4. Chop all ingredients into a size that best works for your juicer.
  5. Feed everything into your juicer, alternating between soft and hard ingredients.
  6. Drink and enjoy the benefits.

Notes:

For full benefits, consume immediately or as soon as possible, but within 24 hours.
Store in an airtight glass bottle or jar and refrigerate.
